Backhome Biotec Transponder
The BackHome BioTec transponder (chip) is an ISO chip of the FDX-B type; the chip functions in accordance with ISO standard 11784 (code structure) and ISO standard 11785 (technical concept). Contains 10 sterile transponders.
The safe unbreakable BioTec cover ensures that the chip grows with the tissue and is not repelled by the body. A code is stored in the microchip. The chip itself is not active. There is no battery in it, so the animal will not notice it and the lifespan is virtually unlimited. Only when a reader is kept to the chip, then something will happen. The display device emits an electromagnetic signal that activates the chip, after which it responds via a radio signal with the identification code of the animal. As a result, this code appears on the display of the reader device. A chip is therefore also called a transponder. Because the shell of the BackHome BioTec chip is unbreakable, it is safer than a chip in a (breakable) glass tube.
The BackHome BioTec chip is sterile packed in a green plastic disposable applicator, with a "click" non-return system. The applicator has a very sharp, non-punching needle. With every BackHome BioTec chip, 6 barcode stickers are supplied with the corresponding identification code.
